Acai Bowl

Acai bowls have been a big hit in my house! They are simple to make, and jam packed with antioxidants! If you are looking for a really good excuse to make a pretty smoothie bowl, here’s your chance! I think I grabbed every fruit we had in the fridge for this! Feel free to use whatever toppings you have at home. The best part about making food, is creating what you want!

So what’s so great about acai you might ask?! Well acai pronounced (ah-sigh-EE) is a berry harvested from acai palm trees found in South America.  This antioxidant rich fruit stimulates your immune system, as well as giving you a boost of natural energy!

Go ahead and have some fun in your kitchen! Show your body you love it with this amazing Acai Bowl. Let’s get to it!

Acai Bowl 

Serves 2


  • 2 tbsp acai powder
  • 1 whole banana (frozen)
  • 1 1/2 c frozen strawberries
  • 1 1/2 c frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 c non dairy milk

Toppings (optional)

  • Sliced bananas
  • Sliced Strawberries
  • Chopped dragon fruit
  • Sliced kiwi
  • Mandarin oranges
  • Cherries
  • Blueberries
  • Goji Berries
  • Hemp hearts
  • Chia seeds
  • Walnuts
  • Coconut shreds


  1. Place all ingredients in a high speed blender (a high speed blender is best to use or a smoothie blender so it can evenly mix the acai powder).
  2. Pour smoothie into bowl and top with your favorite fruits, nuts and seeds!

    Yum this is such a great recipe that I have to try out. I have yet to try out acai powder. I love how you can add any fruit you have on hand too.

      Simera, I am so happy to be back girl!! Acai is so good, I feel like it enhances the flavor of the fruits! The only part I don’t love about the Acai powder is that it is pricey! I think I paid $19 for a small bag :-/! Other than that it is great lol!

      I think your son would love this bowl as well, as he would be able to add his own toppings to it making it fun for him! I hope you try it our!
