Watermelon Strawberry Colada

This colada is so simple to make! You just might find yourself whipping them up everyday, and honestly I wouldn’t blame you if you did! The blend of the watermelon, strawberries and limes creates a refreshing fruity infusion in your mouth that is to die for!  

Not your ordinary breakfast colada!

So you might be thinking, Alethea how could you possibly have a colada for breakfast?! The truth is, sometimes I want something light first thing in the morning. I usually end up having a larger lunch later in the day!

I get bored with my traditional breakfast routine of smoothies, smoothie bowls, pancakes ect. It is so hot out, that at times I do not wake up with a huge appetite. If you can relate this is the perfect recipe for you. 

Cocktail or Mocktail?

Another perfect way to enjoy this colada might be for a brunch or bbq/party! It is so pretty, I think your guest would be pretty impressed with you mixology skills! 

To jazz things up, you could  make a great cocktail with this by adding a little coconut rum. I am no cocktail expert, but to me that sounds delicious.

Ingredients
  1. 2 c sliced watermelon
  2. 1/2 c sliced strawberries
  3. 2 limes
  4. 1 c ice
Instructions
  1. 1. Add watermelon, strawberries and the juice of 2 limes into a blender. Blend together for 30 seconds.
  2. 2. Add ice and blend together. Serve and top with additional fruit
Notes
  1. ( Great tip: Freeze watermelon for a thicker consistency)
